Mexican Riviera Cruise
Royal Caribbean has done it!!! They moved one of the huge Voyager class ships to the Pacific.
ALL MEXICAN CRUISES ARE SUSPENDED UNTIL AT LEAST THE MIDDLE OF JUNE. NEW SUBSTITUTE CRUISE LINEUP IS - LA - SEATTLE - VICTORIA, BC - ASTORIA - LA (on some cruises San Francisco will be a stop instead of Astoria).
The ship Mariner of the Seas will start making its 7 day cruises to the Mexican Rivera in February of 2009. This ship is 50 feet too wide and 70 feet too long to fit in the Panama Canal. These ships are great. If you get bored with the sun and beaches, go down to deck 2 and go ice skating, thats right the ship even has a ice skating rink. It would have to because they put on skating show during each cruise. Don't forget the four story shopping mall that runs down the center of the ship, or the three swimming pools, climbing wall and water park. Yep the west coast finely has one of the big ships AND it will be based in Los Angeles with cruises leaving once weekly. Look below for samples of cruises and pricing. CALL FOR MORE INFO AND TO GET GREAT PRICING.
Enough about the ship, were here to see Mexico. We start at the end, LANDS END, and the famous arch and the end of Baja California. Cabo San Lucas was a big secret for years, a playground for the start then the word got out. Next we travel to the mainland for the rest of our exploration. This trip will show the glitz, country, jungles, sea life and many cultures of our friends to the south.

This is a great cruise. You have a great day at sea to start off, time to relax and rewind. First stop, as we round the lands end at the bottom of the baha we see the famous arch of Cabo San Lucas. This stop has it all, para-sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling, canopy zip-lining OR just enjoy the sights and culture. Go to Lovers Beach, this is the only beach in the world that is on two different bodies of water, the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean. Yep, it actually is two beaches in one going from one side of the baha to the other.
Next stop Mazatlan. Here you can see the northern version of the cliff divers, the second tallest naturally elevated lighthouse in the world (the rock of Gibraltar is the tallest), and even go to an Indian folk dance festival. Make sure to watch the men hanging upside-down on the dance pole.
Last stop is Puerto Vallarta. Remember the Night of the Iguana? Will this is where it was filmed and as you tour the city they will point out where Liz Taylor and Richard Burton lived during the filming. Make sure to go to the jungle experience (where Arnold-the govenator) filmed Predator. If you want something more laid back there is a tour of the city with a final stop at a tequila factory, complete with samples, or swimming with dolphins.
NOW if that all sounded like too much, you have 2 days to rest up on board before your cruise ends in Las Angeles.
