Caribbean Cruise
Relaxation at its best. The Caribbean just sing soft winds, drums, sun and fun. The best times to travel in the Caribbean is between December and May. That time it is not so hot and the big storms aren't in season.
Now that we have looked at timing lets see what there is to do. Most cruise companies divide the Caribbean into three areas of travel. Southern, Eastern, and Western. That because there is so much to see, you could take off for a month or more and still not see all the "basic" sights.
SOUTHERN CARIBBEAN. This type of cruise normally starts in San Juan and heads south, normally covering island stops in Aruba, Curacao, St. Lucia, Barbados, among many others depending on the cruise. Normally you can expect southern cruises to be anywhere from 7 to 14 days in length.
EASTERN CARIBBEAN. Normally you will depart from Florida and travel south to San Juan, St John, St Maarten, and return by way of Nassau, this is the basic 7 day Eastern cruise. Don't get me wrong, its great. Longer versions of the eastern cruise are available, call for information and pricing.
WESTERN CARIBBEAN. These cruises start in many different ports, BUT normally return to their point of origin. Normally ports would include Cozumel, Belize or Costa Maya, Roatan and Georgetown Grand Cayman.
With all these ports the experiances you will have are never-ending. From the natural bridge of Aruba, to the only US underwater federal park, to climbing Mayan pyramids, and going to Hell and back in one day, its all there.

Remarks |
Cape Liberty Cruise Port is located on the New York Harbor in Bayonne, New Jersey, and is just seven miles from New York City and three miles from Newark Liberty International Airport. Its waterfront location and convenience to the Big Apple allows visitors easy access to everything New York City has to offer along with providing visitors access to the historic roots of Northern New Jersey. Convenient guest parking is located adjacent to the cruise terminal. As a symbol of democracy and freedom, the Statue of Liberty is recognized around the world and is synonymous with the United States. You can reach Liberty Island by ferry, departing from Jersey City, New Jersey.
When you're in San Juan, don't miss the opportunity to witness the pinnacle of natural beauty by exploring Puerto Rico's El Yunque Rain Forest. It features more than 240 species of trees, hundreds of miniature orchids, and what was once believed to be the Fountain of Youth.
St. Thomas. While the beaches and ocean are beautiful, there is one thing that really sets St. Thomas apart - shopping. Browse through the shop-lined streets of Charlotte Amalie and find out why St. Thomas is called the "duty-free shopping capital of the world." Shop for duty-free trinkets and bargains on everything from liquor to imported china and crystal. Visitors can bring home $1,200 in merchandise without paying duty - twice the limit of most of the Caribbean.
St. Maarten. When the Spanish closed their colonial fort on St. Maarten in 1648, a few Dutch and French soldiers hid on the island and decided to share it. Soon after, the Netherlands and France signed a formal agreement to split St. Maarten in half, as it is today. Philipsburg displays its Dutch heritage in its architecture and landscaping. The island offers endless stretches of beach, beautiful landscapes and great shopping.
Roseau, Dominica. Roseau is a charming costal village of Dominica and your gateway to one of the Caribbean's most untouched islands. With its lush forested mountains, countless rivers, and black-sand beaches, you'll see why it's called the "Nature Island of the Caribbean." If you've ever wondered what an authentic Caribbean island was like, this is it.
Barbados. Though Barbados gained its independence from the British in 1966, the island maintains a distinctly English flavor. From British products such as chocolate and china to the national pastime, cricket, the British influence is evident throughout this gorgeous Caribbean destination. For the ultimate day of fun-in-the-sun Barbados-style, cruise on the MV Harbour to a spectacular sandy beach. Snorkel on reefs teeming with tropical fish. Enjoy the rope swing, sun tanning or walking on the beach. Cruise back along the scenic coast while dancing the calypso or limbo, or just relax on deck.
St John, Antigua. The first settlement on the island we now know as Antigua was not established until the 1600s, when English settlers arrived. Antigua remained a part of the British Commonwealth until its independence in 1981. Today, Antigua is a popular vacation destination, attracting tourists with its ideal climate, 366 beautiful beaches, amazing landscape and leisurely lifestyle. Discover Antigua's past at Nelson's Dockyard, a restored working dockyard. In this tropical Colonial Williamsburg, you can visit many of the original colonial buildings and get a real feel for the history of the place.
Tortola, British Virgin Islands.Tortola - envision it. Banana, mango and palm trees swaying gently in the warm tropical breeze. Exotic steel drum music. Some of the best white-sand beaches in the British Virgin Islands. And that's just the north side of the island. On the south side, Tortola's rugged mountain roads lead to spectacular views. There's no lack of adventure here. Rent a bareboat and set sail. Grab some SCUBA gear and explore the wreck of the HMS Rhone or the Chikuzen. With so much to experience, what are you waiting for? Rent a private boat and forge your way out to Norman Isle, a former pirate den across Drake Channel from Tortola and real life deserted island today. Legend has it that Norman Isle served as Robert Louis Stevenson's inspiration for Treasure Island. You can venture into caves, some of which are excellent snorkeling spots. Or hike to Spy Glass Hill. This is a journey you'll never forget.
